Job summary

Harvest Road Group in Australia seeks a dedicated Cold Stores Trainer and Assessor to lead on-the-job training for process workers. You will coordinate programs, monitor progress, and mentor staff while ensuring safety, quality standards and compliance with company procedures from paddock to plate.

You will work closely with Safety Officer and Head Trainer to keep training aligned with policies, updates to work instructions, and VOC sign-offs for equipment.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering on-the-job training in a cold store or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to assess learner competency against company procedures.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety policies and safe work instructions.
• Commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement in operations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee workplace-based training programs for cold store staff.
• Monitor and record training progress and outcomes.
• Sign off employees on all load shifting equipment via VOC as required.
• Review and update Cold Stores work instructions to keep them current.
• Provide on-the-job instruction, skill development and supervision of trainees.
• Undertake coaching and mentoring of employees during intensive training.
• Assist management with creating new process or equipment work instructions.
