Job summary

Southern NSW Local Health District seeks a Paediatrician to join the Department of Paediatrics at Moruya Regional Hospital, with transition to the Eurobodalla Regional Hospital. The role includes clinical assessment, supervision of junior staff and teaching, and is supported by a team across facilities in the Coastal Network.

The position commences at Moruya and will relocate to Eurobodalla Regional Hospital, with outreach clinics to Narooma and Batemans Bay.

Qualifications

• Fellow of The Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM) or RACGP with Advanced Skills Training in Paediatrics
• Demonstrated recent clinical experience in general paediatric medicine including acute care, neonatal and outpatient paediatrics
• Interest and skills in paediatric service development, innovative models of care, and project leadership is desirable
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and build collaborative partnerships
• Strong skills in training, capacity building, teaching, continuing self-education, research and quality improvement

Responsibilities

• Provide expert paediatric medical assessment and management of patients within the Department of Paediatrics
• Teach, supervise and support junior medical staff
• Assist in the transition from Moruya Hospital to Eurobodalla Regional Hospital and co-ordinate outreach services
• Provide outpatient clinics at Moruya Hospital and Eurobodalla Regional Hospital, with outreach to Narooma and Batemans Bay
• Participate in 1 in 4 on-call roster with telehealth consultations and adherence to clinical privileges
