Job summary

ARDS’ purpose is to increase Yolŋu control of all aspects of Yolŋu life, through equal and genuine access to information, resources and decision-making. The Co-CEO will partner with the CEO to guide staff and ensure the ARDS-ku buyu' way of working is observed.

Based in Darwin or Nhulunbuy, the role requires strong Yolŋu leadership, cultural advisory skills and ability to work across Yolŋu communities. This position contributes to ARDS' cross-cultural approach and community-driven impact.

Responsibilities

• Support and Guide the CEO as their Bämara'
• Give cultural advice and skilled support to ARDS staff for their work
• Represent ARDS to other people, organisations and government
• Help with recruiting senior staff for ARDS
• Mentor and support Yolŋu staff
• Help with welcoming and training new ARDS staff
• Help to make sure ARDS-ku buyu' is being followed in all areas of ARDS' work
