Job summary

InfraBuild is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist at our Mayfield site in Australia. The role focuses on programming and operating multi-axis lathes and machining centres, with opportunities to grow in machining special steels and modern CNC environments.

You will read engineering drawings, work with Fanuc/Siemens/Fagor controls, and utilize CADCAM tools while adhering to safety standards and continuous improvement practices. This is a full-time day/shift role with overtime potential.

Qualifications

• Hold relevant mechanical trade qualification or be currently completing your apprenticeship.
• Demonstrated ability to read and understand G-Code.
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret Engineering drawings.
• Experience with Fanuc, Siemens or Fagor Controls is highly desirable.
• Utilise or working towards proficiency in CADCAM systems is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Execute CNC Machining including programming and operating a range of machinery including multi-axis lathes and machining centres
• Build your skill and knowledge in machining special steels
• Identify opportunities for improvement
• Provide feedback via the maintenance management systems
• Stay up-to-date with safety management
