Job summary

Bluefin Resources in Canberra is seeking a Solution Architect to drive digital transformation for students and staff, transitioning from legacy systems to modern cloud solutions. You will craft end-to-end architectures, define API-led and event-driven patterns, and collaborate with Cloud Program teams, stakeholders, and vendor partners to deliver secure, compliant designs.

This hands-on role covers data migration, archival architectures, governance, and risk management, with a 12-month contract

Qualifications

• Experience developing solution architectures for large ICT transformation programs.
• Experience designing integration architectures using API-led, event-driven and service integration patterns.
• Experience developing data migration and archival architectures for cloud transitions.
• Track record operating within architecture governance frameworks.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and presentation skills.
• A degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Develop conceptual solution designs, integration designs, architecture decision briefs and technical statements of work for Cloud initiatives
• Define API-led, event-driven and integration patterns consistent with whole-of-government standards
• Develop end-to-end data migration and archival architectures, ensuring compliance with the Territory Records Act, ACT Government records requirements and privacy obligations
• Present architecture proposals to whole‑of‑government and Cloud governance forums
• Identify and manage technical risks, architecture debt and design deviations
• Ensure solutions are secure by design and aligned with ACT Government cyber security standards
