Job summary

NCS Australia is seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to join our Cloud and Corporate Networks teams. You will design, implement and optimise multi-cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP) with a focus on Azure, delivering secure, resilient infrastructure and shared services across the organization.

You will drive cyber hardening, governance, and operational resilience while providing Level 3 support for complex cloud challenges.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree or higher in a relevant field.
• Strong enterprise cloud engineering experience with Azure, and familiarity with AWS and GCP.
• Proven experience in cloud governance, cyber hardening, security controls, and operational resilience in large enterprise environments.
• Hands-on experience designing and managing shared services (DNS, proxy, backup, SOE).
• Strong understanding of cloud security, ITSM, CAB, and change management processes.

Responsibilities

• Support the Cloud and Corporate Networks teams across infrastructure, operations, transformation projects and security initiatives.
• Engineer, support, and optimise multi-cloud environments (Azure, AWS, and GCP) with a strong focus on Azure.
• Design and manage secure, resilient cloud infrastructure and shared services including DNS, proxy, backup, and SOE.
• Deliver cyber hardening, security controls, operational resilience, and governance across enterprise cloud platforms.
• Provide Level 3 technical support and resolve complex cloud and infrastructure issues.
• Design and implement cloud networking, automation, monitoring, and container platforms using Python, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Collaborate with architecture, security, engineering and operations teams to deliver scalable, compliant cloud solutions.
• Support enterprise CAB and change management processes, balancing governance, risk, and delivery outcomes.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, or equivalent experience.
• Strong enterprise cloud engineering experience with Azure and working knowledge of AWS and GCP.
• Proven experience in cloud governance, cyber hardening, security controls, and operational resilience within large enterprise environments.
• Hands‑on experience designing and managing shared services including DNS, proxy, backup, and SOE.
• Strong understanding of cloud security, compliance, ITSM, CAB, and change management processes.
• Experience providing Level 3 support for complex cloud and infrastructure environments.
• Strong expertise in cloud networking, automation, and scripting (Python, Shell).
• Hands‑on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud‑native container platforms.
• Experience implementing monitoring, observability, and performance management solutions.
• Excellent stakeholder management and collaboration skills, with the ability to balance security, governance, and delivery outcomes.
