Optus is seeking a Domain Lead Architect – Cloud in Sydney to provide strategic and technical leadership across the Cloud domain. You will guide secure, scalable cloud network solutions and influence architecture decisions to support business objectives and future roadmaps.

The role requires 10+ years in telecommunications with cloud expertise, OpenStack, Kubernetes, Docker, and strong stakeholder management. Hybrid work and career development are offered.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in telecommunications engineering with cloud focus.
• Deep knowledge of mobile data networks and carrier environments.
• Experience with OpenStack, containers, and cloud orchestration.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute long-term Cloud domain network strategies.
• Provide architectural guidance across platforms and services.
• Lead engineering teams through major projects and deployments.
• Review designs in Architecture Review Boards and drive actions to approvals.
• Contribute to security strategy and cloud network protection.
