Job summary

Murdoch Children’s Research Institute (MCRI) in Melbourne is seeking a Cloud Data Engineer to support GenV’s cloud and data infrastructure. You will work across AWS, MuleSoft, data engineering and DevOps to build, maintain and improve secure, scalable cloud services, integrations and data pipelines for world-leading health research.

The role requires 3–5 years’ experience with AWS cloud infrastructure and data warehousing, plus hands-on DevOps and IaC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS/Engineering/IT or related field.
• 3–5 years’ experience managing AWS cloud infrastructure (EC2, ECS, RDS, S3, Lambda).
• Experience in data engineering, ETL and data warehousing.
• Experience developing and deploying system integrations, ideally familiar with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.
• Hands-on experience with DevOps and IaC tools such as GitLab, Docker, Terraform and Artifactory.

Responsibilities

• Operate, optimise and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Administer and monitor MuleSoft integrations end to end, including build configuration, source control and deployment.
• Design, build and maintain scalable data transformation and integration pipelines.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines supporting GenV’s technical and scientific objectives.
