Mercy Health is seeking an experienced Emergency Nurse to join the Werribee Mercy Hospital Learning Team in a fixed term part-time capacity. The role focuses on developing, implementing, and evaluating learning activities for ED and Short Stay Unit staff and learners.

You will provide educational leadership, work with the Learning Team to ensure professional development aligns with clinical excellence, and identify development needs for nursing staff and learners.

Qualificações

• RN registered with APHRA and current nursing registration.
• Postgraduate qualifications in Emergency Nursing.
• Current clinical experience in Paediatric nursing.

Responsabilidades

• Provide educational leadership and guide learning activities in the Emergency Department and Short Stay Unit.
• Collaborate with Learning Team and ED/SSU to align CPD with clinical excellence.
• Identify and prioritise professional development needs of nursing staff and learners.

About the opportunity

An exciting opportunity for experienced Emergency Nurse to join MHVL Learning Team at Werribee Mercy Hospital in a fixed term position as part of the Emergency Department expansion.

As the champion of education, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, facilitating and evaluating learning activities in the Emergency Department and Short Stay Unit for both staff and learners.

• To provide educational leadership and guidance to enable the development of knowledge and skill.
• The clinical support nurse works in partnership with Learning Team and the Emergency Department/ Short Stay Unit to ensure continuing professional development activities are in line with the delivery of clinical excellence.
• Identifies and priorities the professional development needs of nursing staff and learners.

To thrive in this role, you will have:

• APHRA registration as a Registered Nurse
• Postgraduate qualifications in Emergency Nursing
• Current clinical experience in Paediatric Nursing
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (Desirable)
• Excellent clinical, time management, organisational and communication skills, with the ability to adapt and problem solve.
• A compassionate, flexible and positive approach to effective patient care and management.
• The ability to nurture friendly, respectful relationships and contribute to a collaborative team environment.

You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:

• A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.
• Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
