Job summary

A healthcare organization in Queensland is seeking a passionate Clinical Support professional to enhance the quality of life for older Australians. You will provide clinical advice, assess client eligibility, and make delegate decisions under the Aged Care Act. The ideal candidate holds a relevant tertiary qualification, has a minimum of 1 year experience in aged care assessments, and possesses excellent communication skills. Qualifications

  • Current unrestricted General Registration with AHPRA or relevant professional association.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in Aged Care Needs Assessments.
  • Ability to travel as required.

About the role

As part of the Clinical Support team, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for older Australians by :

  • Providing clinical advice
  • Determining the eligibility of a client for an Aged Care Needs Assessment
  • Undertaking reviews of clients’ needs
  • Making delegate decisions as per the new Aged Care Act.

Requirements
  • Tertiary education in a health-related discipline. E.g. registered nurses, medical officers, occupational therapists, physiotherapists and social workers.
  • Current unrestricted General Registration with AHPRA or relevant professional association.
  • Minimum of 1 years’ experience in Aged Care Needs Assessments.
  • Experience in determining client’s needs and / or service delivery in a community or health-related position.
  • Intermediate skills in Word, Excel, Outlook and client management systems
  • Current Australian driver’s licence, a comprehensively insured vehicle and ability to travel as required.
