Role

Montefiore has a fantastic opportunity for a Registered Nurse to become an integral part of the leadership team in the capacity of Clinical Nurse Specialist at our Hunters Hill campus.

Working closely with our Registered Nurses, Assistants in Nursing and Allied Health Team you will be the subject matter expert on the floor ensuring an enhanced level of care is provided to consumers. You will utilise your highly developed clinical skills to deliver comprehensive assessments and care planning and provide support to the Deputy Care Manager.

Essential Criteria
  • Current Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Minimum of 3 years post graduate clinical experience
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management skills
  • Experience working with clients living with dementia
  • Prior experience working in an aged care setting
  • Excellent critical thinking skills
  • Advanced communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Effective time management skills
  • Understanding of the Aged Care Accreditation Standards
Desirable Criteria
  • Working knowledge of AN-ACC
  • Area of specialisation e.g. wound care, palliative care
  • Certificate IV in Frontline Management
  • Post graduate study in a related field
  • Above average computer skills with prior experience utilising an electronic health record program
