About the role
Provides person-centred nursing care, oversees care plans, and leads team-based service delivery. Supports managers, drives quality improvement, contributes to education and research, and provides clinical and professional leadership to enhance patient outcomes and service quality.
Key duties of the role
- Provide proficient, person-centred care and individual case management
- Ensure care outcomes are achieved daily
- Oversee the provision of nursing care
- Identify issues impacting nursing care or service delivery and take action to resolve.
- Support and assist the Nurse Unit Manager and Nurse Educators.
Skills and Experience
- Registered Nurse with at least 3 years post registration experience or currently classified as a Clinical Nurse.
- Demonstrated competence in perioperative nursing (scrub / scout)
- Effective communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
- Leads, motivates, and supports staff to achieve positive outcomes
- Experience in the supervision and mentoring of student nurses, enrolled nurses, and less experienced registered nurses
