Job summary

Gold Coast Health is seeking a Clinical Nurse (Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy) to join our team at Southport, QLD. You will provide advanced person-focused, evidence-based care and actively engage in professional development while supporting students.

The successful candidate will triage referrals, prioritise urgent cases in collaboration with the Clinic Nurse Consultant, and contribute to a diverse, modern workplace serving the Gold Coast region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent.
• Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia.
• Evidence of vaccination against MMR, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B; TB screening.
• Criminal History Screening required for new employees.

An opportunity has become available for a Clinical Nurse (Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy) to join Gold Coast Health where the focus of our 14 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.

You will

• Actively engage in professional development of self and support the development of others, including students
• Provide, maintain and role model advanced person-focused, evidence-based care
• Engage with consumers to support shared decision making relevant to their care and health literacy within scope of role
• Triage patient referrals and presentations in collaboration with the Clinic Nurse Consultant, ensuring urgent cases are prioritised and reviewed in a timely manner

About youTo be successful in this position you will require:

• Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent
• Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia
• Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
• Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
• Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
• Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)
