This is for Permanent Full Time, Permanent Part Time, Fixed Term Full Time and Fixed Term Part Time appointments. Fixed Term appointments will be made with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.

We currently have a 1.26 FTE (Full Time Equivalent) position available working various hours per fortnight.

What is our Clinical Nurse Midwife (Day Surgery Unit) role?

This primary focus of this role is to provide clinical and professional expertise to ensure comprehensive evidence‑based midwifery/ nursing care is provided to patients. You are responsible for facilitating and promoting patient safety and quality of care in accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australian standards. This role will provide care to meet womens individual clinical, emotional and social needs.

Eligibility to Apply

Australian citizenship or permanent residency is an essential requirement for applicants to be considered for permanent positions in the public sector. To be eligible for a fixed term appointment you must have documentary evidence of your entitlement to live and work in Australia for the period of the contract.

Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, it may also be used to fill other “similar” vacancies throughout the health service. Both of these options remain valid for a period of twelve (12) months from when the authorised delegate endorses the recruitment decision.
