NSW Health in Sydney is seeking a dynamic Clinical Nurse Educator to join our mental health education team. This newly established ward-based role focuses on developing confident, capable clinicians and delivering trauma-informed, person-centred care.

The role supports MAU/SSU units at PMBC with education initiatives, orientation, and ongoing professional development, offering a rewarding leadership opportunity in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Identifying clinical learning needs and developing targeted education and training programs.
• Facilitating orientation, in-service education, clinical skills development and ongoing professional learning.
• Supporting the development of clinical competence, evidence-based practice and safe, high-quality care.

Responsibilities

• Identifying clinical learning needs and developing targeted education and training programs.
• Facilitating orientation, in-service education, clinical skills development and ongoing professional learning.
• Supporting the development of clinical competence, evidence-based practice and safe, high-quality care.
• Collaborating with CNEs and clinical nurse consultants to deliver education initiatives that address service-wide priorities.
• Supporting new graduates, early-career nurses and experienced clinicians in their ongoing professional development.
• Promoting reflective practice, clinical excellence and a culture of continuous improvement.
• Contributing to the evaluation and ongoing improvement of education programs across SLHD Mental Health Services.
