Job summary

The Sydney Private Hospital is seeking a Clinical Nurse Educator to coordinate educational and quality activities within the clinical setting. The role includes organising training for staff, supervising nursing students, and working between ward duties and coordination tasks.

The successful candidate will have current AHPRA registration, at least five years of nursing experience, team leadership experience, and advanced life support certification, with a strong focus on teaching and quality

Qualifications

Current AHPRA registration.
Minimum five years’ experience in nursing.
Experience as Team Leader.
Advanced Life support certificate.
Previous involvement in quality activities.
Proven presentation and teaching skills in individual, small and large group settings.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to meet deadlines and work with minimal supervision.
Positive attitude towards learning and professional development.
Previous policy & competency writing experience.
Post graduate certificate in relevant area.
Cert IV Training & Assessment (TAE40116) or working towards.
Ability to perform IV cannulation.
Previous Auditing Experience.

Responsibilities

Coordinate all aspects of educational and quality activities within the Clinical Setting.
Coordinate and organise training for all staff including New Graduate Registered Nurses and providing supervision for undergraduate nursing students.
Work alongside new staff and split time between ward and coordination of tasks.
Provide clinical and professional support to the nursing staff, visiting students, management team.
