Job summary

Far West NSW Local Health District in Broken Hill is seeking a Clinical Nurse Consultant Grade 2 in Wound and Stoma Management. You will lead specialist nursing practice, provide expert consultancy and coordinate services across multiple care groups.

The role offers a permanent full-time arrangement with 38 hours per week and a remuneration of $149,408 to $152,393 plus super. Applicants should have AHPRA registration and substantial wound/stoma experience.

Qualifications

• Current authority to practice as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
• At least 5 years full-time equivalent post-registration clinical experience, including ≥3 years in wound and stoma care.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication with IT skills for complex consultancy.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and contribute to quality improvement.
• Willingness to travel across the district with possible overnight stays.
• Current unrestricted driver's licence.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert clinical leadership and consultancy across multiple service groups.
• Coordinate wound and stoma care within Far West LHD.
• Support education and professional development for staff.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes.
