The Clinical Measurement Unit at the Mackay Base Hospital performs a range of clinical investigations including cardiac, respiratory and neurological diagnostic services.
The unit staff are a resource for education and training; and an information resource to all levels and disciplines of hospital staff, students, and to external agencies.
The unit accepts requests directly from medical officers for all inpatients and outpatients of the Mackay Base Hospital; from other regional hospitals and private external medical practitioners.
has 6 hospitals, 2 multi-purpose health services and 4 community health centres that employ more than 3,700 staff. The district covers an area of approximately 90,000km2 and provides services to patients and their families in Bowen, Cannonvale, Clermont, Collinsville, Dysart, Glenden, Mackay, Middlemount, Moranbah, Proserpine and Sarina.
