Flourish Australia, operating the headspace Broken Hill centre, seeks a Clinical Lead to supervise daily clinical operations and lead service development for youth aged 12-25 and their families. The role blends governance, supervision, and direct clinical work to deliver high-quality, recovery‑oriented care.
You will work with the Senior Clinical Manager to ensure best practice, accreditation compliance, and continuous quality improvement within a supportive multidisciplinary team.
The position is:
Full-time(76 hours per fortnight)
Based in Broken Hill
Working Monday to Friday
$111,900 - $143,400 (commensurate with experience & qualifications) + Super + Tax-Free Salary Packaging!
As the headspace Clinical Lead, you will provide leadership and oversight of clinical services, ensuring that young people aged 12-25 and their families receive high-quality, evidence-based, and recovery-orientated care. This role combines clinical governance, supervision and service development with direct clinical work, including complex assessments and therapeutic interventions. The Clinical Lead works closely with the Senior Clinical Manager to implement best practice, contribute to continuous quality improvement, and maintain compliance with accreditation and safeguarding requirements.
Your main responsibilities as the Clinical Lead will include (but are not limited to):
Working as a member of the leadership team to oversee the day-to-day clinical operation of the service.
Oversee processes to ensure appropriate case planning and coordination for young people and their families accessingheadspace.
Assertively monitor young people where risk is indicated, including regularly assessing the current level of risk and developing action plans to mitigate any risks
Provide assessments and evidence-based interventions, including group interventions, with young people (and their families/carers) accessing headspace.
Undertake a range of assessments of young people and their families/carers as appropriate, including intake assessments, initial bio-psychosocial assessments, assessments of functioning, outcome measures, and symptom severity measures.
Work collaboratively with the young person and their families to develop individual recovery plans and/or service plans including relevant interventions that are person-centred and directed by the young person as much as possible.
Minimum three years post-qualification experience delivering mental health assessments and evidence based interventions
Maintain membership of the appropriate professional body.
Demonstrated advanced skills in the delivery of clinical services to young people and/or providing mental health services or programs, including being able to respond to crisis and high-risk situations, when required.
Demonstrated ability to engage in multidisciplinary and/or cross sector initiatives, and partnerships with a wide range of professionals, organisations and stakeholders.
Experience providing clinical supervision and clinical leadership within a multidisciplinary team.
