Job summary

The University of Sydney is inviting applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate (Level A) in Clinical Imaging to join the Image X Institute at South Eveleigh. The role focuses on harnessing artificial intelligence to improve radiation therapy for cancer patients, building AI-powered cancer targeting technologies to address motion challenges in radiotherapy.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team, contribute to algorithm development, clinical data analysis, and publications, and may

Qualifications

• PhD in physics, computer science, applied mathematics or biomedical engineering or relevant discipline.
• Strong record of publishing research findings in peer-reviewed journals.
• Knowledge of software and mathematical algorithm development, especially in artificial intelligence.
• Experience translating research technologies into clinical practice.

Responsibilities

• Advance the algorithms of imaging and targeted radiation therapy.
• Create, develop and implement AI-based algorithms clinically and experimentally.
• Support acquisition and analysis of clinical data, and imaging, software and equipment infrastructure.
• Contribute to scientific publications, research dissemination and funding proposals.
• Undertake clinical site visits to support technology installation and testing.
