Job summary

Mater Private Hospital Mackay is seeking a Clinical Facilitator to lead education for the maternity team in a permanent part-time role. You will coordinate orientation, facilitate learning opportunities and maintain clinical competency programs to ensure high-quality care for women, babies and families.

This leadership position focuses on supporting staff through education, mentorship and evidence-based practice, driving continuous improvement and staff development in a values-led culture.

Qualifications

• RNRN and RM registrations with AHPRA, valid and unrestricted.
• Postgraduate qualifications or working towards them in maternity care.
• Minimum three years of clinical experience.
• Knowledge of education and training in Australian healthcare settings.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and learning new IT tools.
• Strong time management, problem solving and organisation.

• Plan, deliver and evaluate clinical education to address learning needs.

About the role

Mater Private Hospital Mackay has an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Facilitator to join our team in a permanent part time capacity.

Join our maternity team as a Clinical Midwifery Facilitator and play a key role in supporting the ongoing education, development, and clinical excellence of midwifery staff. This leadership position is responsible for coordinating orientation, facilitating learning opportunities, maintaining clinical competency programs, and promoting evidence-based practice to ensure safe, high-quality care for women, babies, and families.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate midwife to influence workforce development and contribute to positive patient outcomes through education and mentorship.

• Plan, deliver and evaluate clinical education to address learning needs, build capability and support staff to work at full scope
• Support professional development and performance improvement processes

About you

• Current and unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife
• Postgraduate qualifications in relevant specialty or working towards them
• Minimum of three years clinical experience
• Knowledge of education and training in Australian healthcare organisations
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and ability to learn relevant computer applications
• Strong time management, analytical problem-solving skills, and organisational skills
• Ability to work with diverse groups, including volunteers and community organisations
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (current)
• Demonstrated experience in clinical facilitation and/or clinical supervision
• Demonstrated experience in the development, implementation and evaluation of clinical education
