Zusammenfassung

Western Health is seeking a motivated Registered Nurse to join the Nursing Education team as a Clinical Support Nurse. This part-time (0.8 FTE), ongoing role focuses on bedside teaching, mentorship and clinical leadership to support graduates and transitioning nurses.

You will collaborate with Clinical Nurse Educators and multidisciplinary teams to promote safe, evidence-based practice and develop nursing capability across wards 9A/9B and Drug Health Services.

Qualifikationen

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
• Minimum of five years' post-registration experience in an acute healthcare setting.
• Recent experience providing clinical support and education at the bedside.
• Experience working as a Clinical Preceptor.
• Advanced clinical knowledge and excellent contemporary clinical skills.
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while building collaborative relationships across multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong coaching, mentoring and conflict resolution skills.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Proficiency in clinical information systems and information technology.
• Commitment to evidence-based practice, continuous improvement and delivering best care.
• Desirable postgraduate qualification in a clinical nursing specialty with emphasis on education and training.

Aufgaben

• Provide expert clinical support, coaching and mentorship to nurses in the clinical environment.
• Support graduate nurses, undergraduate students and nurses transitioning into practice.
• Maintain a visible presence within clinical areas and role model safe, evidence-based nursing care.
• Promote best practice by supporting staff to implement Western Health policies, procedures and clinical guidelines.
• Provide bedside teaching, supervision and clinical instruction to develop nursing capability.
• Monitor learner progress and provide timely feedback to Clinical Nurse Educators and program coordinators.
• Promote evidence-based practice and participate in quality improvement and research activities.
• Contribute to improving clinical standards through reflective practice, education and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Work collaboratively with Nurse Unit Managers, Clinical Nurse Educators and multidisciplinary teams to support workforce capability and deliver best care.
