Job summary

Hearing Australia in Mackay is seeking a Client Service Specialist to support and empower clients with hearing health. The role starts with a two-week full-time training period and then part-time hours (24 per week, Mon–Thu–Fri).

You’ll greet clients, handle enquiries, book appointments, process claims and assist clinicians, with opportunities to perform minor hearing aid repairs. The role serves diverse clients including children and those from multicultural backgrounds.

Responsibilities

  • Greet clients and manage counter and telephone inquiries.
  • Handle reception, bookings, claims processing, data entry and monthly reports.
  • Liaise with clients of all backgrounds including children, adults and diverse communities.
  • Perform minor hearing aid repairs and troubleshooting.
  • Assist Clinicians by identifying client needs and demonstrating hearing aid use.

  • This role will include an initial two-week full-time training period (Mon-Fri, 8:30am-5:30pm), to support the completion of mandatory training and onboarding requirements.

As a Client Service Specialist, you’ll support and empower clients of all backgrounds. Working side by side with people who go the extra mile, you’ll also love the feeling of helping children and adults who need us. Here’s how you’ll do it:

  • You’ll greet clients, attend to all counter and telephone enquiries
  • You’ll cover reception and undertake general administration duties includes booking client appointments, processing claims, data entry and monthly reports
  • You’ll liaise extensively with our clients comprising of children and adults, some with complex needs, as well as clients with multicultural & Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander backgrounds
  • You’ll perform minor hearing aid repairs and troubleshooting
  • You’ll assist Clinicians with the provision of clinical services by proactively identifying client needs, offering professional advice and demonstrating the use of hearing aids
What you’ll bring
