Job summary

ACSO is seeking a Client Reception and Administration Officer in Victoria. You will be the first point of contact for clients and visitors, delivering a welcoming front of house experience while supporting the broader Facilities team and the national phone line.

The role offers full-time permanent employment with salary packaging options and generous leave provisions. You will coordinate admin duties, support multiple programs, and contribute to a positive, inclusive workplace.

Qualifications

About the role

The Reception and Administration role is pivotal for the smooth day to day running of our offices. It is the first point of contact for all our clients and visitors providing support for all daily interactions across our programs.

In this role, you will deliver a welcoming and professional front of house presence at ACSO whilst working as part of the broader Facilities team and on our National Phone Line as well as providing administrative and reception support for the Sunshine Hub. Our national phone line takes calls from Victoria and Queensland supporting programs which include Casework Services, Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) and Mental Health, Community Offenders Advice and Treatment Service (COATS), Community Re-Entry Services Team (CREST) and Residential Services. You will also assist the ACSO Fleet and Administration Coordinator with a wide variety of fleet related tasks such as ensuring vehicles up to date, follow up of fines, car cleaning co-ordination and other duties as required, including driving of fleet vehicles to various locations which may include to other Regions within Victoria.

What we're looking for

  • Certificate IV in office administration and/or relevant experience working in a forensic administrative/reception environment desirable.
  • Very good administrative, communication and interpersonal skills, and an ability to liaise with consumers, stakeholders and peers
  • Ability to manage busy and stressful situations
  • Demonstrated organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple and conflicting priorities under limited supervision
  • Ability to work effectively as a team member with minimal supervision and under remote working conditions
  • Demonstrated computer skills in the use of MS Office, particularly Word, Outlook and Excel
  • An understanding that the majority of client groups that ACSO services have been involved in the criminal justice system and the skills required to deal with a variety of client behaviours consistent with this cohort
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality particularly with regards to client privacy and sensitive organisational information
  • Previous experience working in the community services sector with client presenting with complex needs would be an advantage.

As ACSO is an NDIS provider, the successful candidate must hold an NDIS Worker Screening Check Clearance before they commence employment in this position.
