Job summary

Brimbank City Council is offering a Permanent Full Time Cleansing Multi-Skilled Officer role at the Keilor Park Operations Centre, located in Melbourne’s west. You will contribute to keeping roads and footpaths clean, often working solo or in small teams, with a strong emphasis on safety and efficiency.

The position requires a valid Medium Rigid Truck Licence, prior experience with road/footpath sweepers, OH&S Induction, and flexibility to work overtime, including weekends and night shifts on a

We are seeking 4 Cleansing Multi-Skilled Officers to join our highly energetic, and hard working Cleansing team based at the Keilor Park Operations Centre.

The role

As a Cleansing Multi-Skilled Officer, you will play a vital part in maintaining the cleanliness of our roads and footpaths as well as preserving the presentation of our municipality.

Depending on the day, the role will see you working autonomously or in teams of 2-4 and with a strong focus on safety, your responsibilities will include:

• Operating various plant and equipment – see position description for a detailed list
• Reporting safety hazards and issues to the Supervisor
• Collaborate with team members to organise materials and complete tasks
• Participating in tool box meetings and training
• Using your initiative and problem solving skills to complete allocated tasks
• Contributing ideas for changes and improvements in work practices to enhance safety and efficiency
