About the Role

The Cleaning Services Assistant is responsible for providing cleaning services that contribute to a safe, clean, and home-like living environment for residents and staff at St Anns Home.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide cleaning services in accordance with established cleaning schedules.

• Mopping, vacuuming and polishing floors, shampooing carpets, damp dusting, waste management, and restocking supplies.

• Assist with laundry practices as required.

• Maintain records confirming completion of cleaning schedule duties.

• Safely store and use cleaning agents, ensuring correct products and quantities are used for each task.

• Participate in infection control programs.

• Contribute to a safe environment by ensuring equipment does not obstruct exits or passageways.

• Undertake other duties within the employee’s skills as directed by the organisation.

Essential Requirements

• Training or experience in cleaning.

• Current National Police Certificate (or ability to obtain).

• Knowledge and experience in chemical handling.

• Experience in residential aged care (desirable).

• Ability to meet legislative requirements for Aged Care Worker Screening to ensure suitability to work in the aged care industry.
