Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking a diligent cleaning operative to provide a high standard of cleanliness across Kent Police buildings. You will clean office areas, toilets/showers, kitchens and custody areas, following the cleaning specification and schedules.

This role requires flexibility, including weekend and bank holiday shifts, the ability to work in a pressurised environment, strong attention to detail, and reliable teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Ensure cleaning duties are carried out in accordance with the cleaning specification and work schedules including Custody but not Foul Cells.
• Complete ADHOC jobs as requested by your line manager
• Ensure all cleaning equipment and materials are maintained in a clean and orderly manner
• Confidentiality is always required due to the nature of the work
• Ensure company policies and procedures are always followed
• Follow the safe use of chemicals guidance (COSHH)
• Handover of any outstanding work

Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure cleaning duties are carried out in accordance with the cleaning specification and work schedules including Custody but not Foul Cells.

• Due to the nature of the work confidentiality is always required.
• Ensure company policies and procedures are always followed.
• Follow the safe use of chemicals guidance (COSHH).
• To ensure the handover of any outstanding work.

Experience

• Experience in working within a team as well as on your own – essential
• Knowledge of COSHH

Any other requirements

• Flexible approach to working hours, including working weekends & Bank Holidays
• Willingness to take any further appropriate training.
