Job summary

The Coles Cairns CBD store is hiring a Cleaning and Trolley Collection Team Member. You will contribute to a clean, safe and welcoming shopping environment for customers and colleagues, with varied shifts and a positive team culture.

No prior experience required; a great attitude and willingness to learn are valued. Roles involve indoor/outdoor work, lifting and flexible hours across 5am–11pm, seven days a week.

• Working indoors and outdoors, able to work autonomously and in a group.
• Enthusiastic, energetic and able to maintain a great attitude at work.
• Keen eye for detail and cleanliness.

• Active role requiring movement, lifting, reaching and pushing as needed.
• Availability to work flexible hours across store trading days, including weekends (5am–11pm).

Responsibilities

• Keep the store clean, safe and welcoming for customers and team members.
• Sweep, mop and vacuum floors; clean shelves, ovens, drains and other areas to a high standard.
• Collect trolleys from store and car park, rain or shine to support a positive shopping experience.

About the role

Are you looking for an opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our customers? We’re seeking a Cleaning and Trolley Collection Team Member to play a crucial role in ensuring our stores provide a positive shopping experience. No prior experience is required, just a willingness to learn and a great attitude.

You’ll play an important role in keeping the store clean, safe, and welcoming for customers and team members. From sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors to cleaning shelves, ovens, drains, and other areas, you’ll make sure everything shines. You’ll also collect trolleys from the store and car park, rain or shine, helping create a great shopping experience for everyone.

About you and your skills

• Working both indoors and outdoors, you’ll be trusted to work autonomously and in a group setting
• A commitment to providing great customer experiences by working with enthusiasm, energy, and pace
• A keen eye for detail and cleanliness
• A passion for working safely and abide by Coles Safe work practices
• The ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and demonstrate a solid work ethic
• To be active – you’ll be constantly on the go and may require to do some moderate to heavy lifting, reaching and pushing
• Availability to work flexible hours across our store trading days (including weekends). We have a variety of shifts available between 5am and 11pm 7 days a week
