Woolworths Group in Cairns is looking for friendly team members to join Proactive Services. You’ll help keep our stores clean, tidy trolley bays, and communal areas in pristine condition, ensuring a hygienic, welcoming environment for customers and colleagues every day.

Training is provided, with opportunities to learn safe operation of cleaning equipment. Flexibility is valued: shifts from early mornings or evenings across Monday to Sunday, with options to suit your lifestyle.

Qualificações

• Ambitious mindset, love of retail, passion for people.
• Physically fit; ability to lift 5-10 kg.
• Able to stand long periods and work across shifts.
• Flexible to work on shop floor, fridges, carparks.
• Available Monday–Sunday; shifts from 6am or 5pm.
• A good eye for cleanliness and details.

Responsabilidades

• Sweep shop floor, clean walls, bathrooms, trolley bays; empty bins.
• Collect trolleys from car park and surrounding areas.
• Work across departments to meet cleaning needs.
• Assist customers with questions or directions.
• Receive full training on equipment for safer work.

About The Role

Here at Woolies, we have a team called Proactive Services that ensures trolleys are available to use and that our stores are in pristine condition - this enables our Customers (and your colleagues) to experience an environment that is hygienically clean to work and shop in. You'll work side‑by‑side with your team whilst bringing a little good to everyone, every day.

What You'll Do

• Complete tasks allocated to you in the daily planner such as sweeping the shop floor, cleaning walls, bathrooms, trolley bays and team room and emptying bins
• Collecting trolleys on foot from the car park and surrounding areas
• Work across departments to deliver specific cleaning needs
• Help our customers in store by answering questions or providing directions
• Full training in operating a variety of equipment and tools that make your job easier and safer

What You'll Bring

• An ambitious mindset, a love of retail, and a passion for people to a promising role with room to grow your career
• Physical fitness is essential for this role, as it involves physically demanding tasks
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift loads between 5-10kgs
• Flexibility to work in different environments such as the shop floor, fridges, freezers and carparks
• Availability to work across Monday-Sunday and shifts starting from 6am or 5pm
• A good eye for cleanliness and small details
