The Role

As a Cleaner in Charge, you will coordinate the day-to-day cleaning operations of the school while supporting a clean, safe and welcoming environment for students, staff and visitors. The role includes opening and closing the school, coordinating cleaning activities, coordinating relief cover within the cleaning team and contributing to internal, external and vacation cleaning requirements, including the maintenance of floors, carpets, windows, amenities, furniture, verandas and other school areas.

The successful applicant will ideally bring experience supervising and supporting a cleaning team, including coordinating daily workloads, providing guidance to staff and helping maintain consistent cleaning standards across the school.

Good organisation, communication and attention to detail are highly regarded, along with the ability to work collaboratively with cleaning staff and the wider school team. Experience coordinating priorities, supporting team members and identifying practical solutions to day-to-day operational needs would also be valued.
