Job summary

ODENSE AUS PTY LTD t/as Eternal Group Services NSW in Sydney CBD NSW is seeking a dedicated school cleaner to perform a range of duties within an education setting.

Responsibilities include general cleaning, waste collection, wet floor maintenance, safety signage, hygiene policy compliance, maintenance reporting, equipment care, and safe chemical use. You will work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in education cleaning in a fast-paced environment.
• Window cleaning experience preferred.
• Excellent communication with diverse backgrounds.
• Must have current working with children check.

• Maintaining wet floor areas, including kitchens and toilets.
• Implementing wet weather procedures / hazard signage / report hazards and incidents / spillage procedures.

• Ensuring all equipment is maintained, used and stored correctly.
• Using chemicals for cleaning with safe work practices.

Working within the education sector you will be responsible for a range of cleaning tasks, these responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• General cleaning of the school;
• Collection of waste from designated waste stations;
• Maintaining wet floor areas, including kitchens and toilets;
• Implementing wet weather procedures / displaying wet floor or hazard signage / report hazards and incidents / implementing spillage procedures;
• Comply with hygiene policies and procedures / comply with infection control policies and procedures;
• Reporting of any maintenance requirements;
• Ensuring all equipment is maintained, used and stored correctly;
• Using appropriate chemicals for cleaning purposes ensuring safe work practices are maintained.

To ensure success in this role we anticipate that the successful candidate will possess the following skills and experience:

• Experience working in a high paced environment – education cleaning (minimum 2 years);
• Previous window cleaning experience;
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and confidence in communicating with people from diverse backgrounds;
• Customer service experience, working with and around children;
• Reliable, punctual and well presented;
• Ability to work alone and part of a team;
• Must have current working with children check;
