Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role is advantageous but not required.
• Victorian Working With Children’s Check is a requirement of the role.

Responsibilities

• Communicating with children, families and colleagues
• General upkeep of the service
• Mopping and vacuuming
• Cleaning windows and windowsills
• Disposal of rubbish
• Dusting/wiping fixtures
• Sanitising high touch areas
• Replenishing stock
• Spot cleaning walls
• Deep cleaning where necessary
• Communicating with the centre manager and other team members as per individual requirements

Job description

Village Early Education Eureka are currently recruiting a permanent employee to join our team for the main purpose of cleaning. This role ensures our centre and learning environments are maintained to a high quality, enabling children to be safe, secure and supported in their learning journey.

Whilst this is primarily a cleaning focused position, the role is much more than that. You will be building relationships with children, families and colleagues to be part of our positive team culture. This role requires you to be approachable, reliable, well presented, and passionate about young children.

We are looking for someone who is approachable, reliable, well-presented and takes pride in their work, with a genuine appreciation for working in an environment dedicated to supporting young children to learn, grow and thrive.
