Job summary

Simplerecruit is seeking a reliable Cleaner for a part-time role in Benalla. The position offers approximately 15 hours per week with flexible arrangements.

You will maintain cleanliness across a gym facility, including bathrooms, floors, and office areas, with all cleaning supplies provided. The role requires experience in commercial cleaning, reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work independently while performing vacuuming, mopping and other cleaning duties.

Job description

We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Cleaner to join our team in Benalla. This is a part-time position offering approximately 15 hours per week, with flexible working arrangements available for the right person.

The role is based within a gym environment and will involve maintaining a high standard of cleanliness across the facility, including bathrooms, toilets, gym floors and office areas.

About the Role

Your responsibilities will include:

Cleaning bathrooms and toilets

Vacuuming and mopping floors

Cleaning office and general facility areas

Emptying bins and maintaining overall cleanliness

Cleaning and maintaining equipment and surfaces

Ensuring the gym is presented to a high standard for members and staff

Completing general cleaning duties as required

All cleaning equipment and products are supplied.

Hours

The standard hours are approximately:

Monday: 10:00am – 3:00pm

Friday: 10:00am – 3:00pm

We are very flexible with the hours for the right person. The main requirement is that cleaning is completed outside of peak gym times, which are generally 5:00am–8:00am and 4:00pm–8:00pm.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

Has previous cleaning experience, ideally in a commercial or gym environment

Takes pride in their work and has a strong eye for detail

Is reliable, punctual and trustworthy

Is comfortable working independently

Is physically fit and capable of completing regular vacuuming, mopping and other physical cleaning duties

Has a positive and professional attitude

Can work flexibly around the needs of the business
