Job summary

Oaks Port Douglas is expanding its housekeeping department with multiple casual opportunities. We seek energetic, detail-focused individuals who take pride in exceptional guest experiences and thrive in a team environment. Roles include cleaning guest rooms, maintaining safety standards, and collaborating to hit daily targets.

Shifts vary with a rotating roster, starting between 8:00am and 9:00am. Hourly rates range from AUD 33.85 to AUD 47.39, with training provided and working rights in

Qualifications

• Prior experience in housekeeping or cleaning roles will be highly regarded.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Basic understanding of safe handling and usage of cleaning chemicals and equipment (training will be provided).
• Good physical fitness and stamina, with the ability to perform repetitive tasks such as bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
• Professional and clear communication skills to interact with guests, team members, and contractors.
• Strong time management skills and ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly clean guest rooms: make beds, vacuum floors, and clean bathrooms to pristine standards.
• Complete cleaning tasks efficiently within allocated hours.

About the job:

• Maintain high standards by thoroughly cleaning guest rooms, including making beds with precision, vacuuming floors, andcleaning bathrooms to ensure a pristine environment.
• Complete cleaning tasks efficiently within the hours allocated by the company.
• Collaborating with team members to meet daily cleaning targets and operational goals.
• Adhering to safety protocols and environmental standards.
• Using specialised cleaning equipment and products safely and effectively - with all training and tools provided.
• Building strong, professional relationships with team members, guests, and contractors to help foster a positive, respectful work environment.
  

Shift Details(subject to change):

• Rotating roster across Monday to Sunday
• Shifts starting between 8:00am and 9.00am
  

Hourly Rates (excluding superannuation):

Monday - Friday: $33.85 per hour

Saturday: $40.62 per hour

Sunday: $47.39per hour

Qualifications

Successful candidates will have:
