Job summary

The Geelong College is seeking experienced and reliable Cleaners to support the delivery of a clean, safe and welcoming environment for students, staff and visitors.

We invite applicants to specify their preferred hours (morning 5:30am–9:30am or afternoon 2:30pm–6:30pm) and whether applying for part-time or full-time arrangements; flexibility and the ability to work independently or in a team are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in cleaning.
• Knowledge of commercial cleaning practices.
• Broad knowledge of cleaning requirements.
• Occupational Health and Safety knowledge.
• Be a positive contributor to a team.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to manage workloads in an allotted time frame and work efficiently and effectively unsupervised.
• Highly customer focused.
• Strong proactive work ethic.
• Integrity, responsibility and respect for others.
• Ability to interact and communicate with students and other members of staff.
• Holder of current Working with Children Check (WWCC), or ability to obtain.
• Evidence of Right to Work in Australia.
• Completion of Asthma for Schools Certificate (free course).

The Geelong College is seeking experienced and reliable Cleaners to support the delivery of a clean, safe and welcoming environment for students, staff and visitors.

We are open to appointing candidates on either a part-time or full-time basis. Applicants are encouraged to indicate their preferred number of hours in their application.

You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness across the College, ensuring all facilities are well-maintained, tidy and aesthetically pleasing. This role requires a proactive approach, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday

• 5:30am to 9:30am (morning shift), or
• 2:30pm to 6:30pm (afternoon shift)

Additional hours may be available depending on operational requirements.
