About the Role

We are seeking dedicated and reliable Environmental Service Assistants to join our friendly team at Frances Perry House. In this key role, you will help maintain the hospital’s high standards of cleanliness and safety, ensuring a welcoming and hygienic environment that supports outstanding patient care.

You will deliver cleaning services in accordance with infection control guidelines, hospital procedures, and workplace health and safety standards, while providing excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a high standard of cleanliness across all hospital areas in line with infection control requirements.
  • Ensure all equipment is cleaned, restocked, and stored safely and appropriately.
  • Take responsibility for your allocated duties and complete tasks efficiently and to a high standard.
  • Follow safe work practices and contribute to a positive, safety-conscious workplace culture.
  • Support the Hospitality Services Manager as required to maintain the delivery of high-quality services.

Your Skills and Experience

To succeed in this role, you will ideally bring:

  • Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience in a healthcare or similar environment (highly desirable).
  • Certificate III qualification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Experience using cleaning machinery such as floor scrubbers (highly desirable).
  • A sound understanding of occupational health and safety and safe work practices.
  • The ability to prioritise tasks and maintain a strong attention to detail.

Remuneration: On offer is base hourly rate ranging from $25.62 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.
