Job summary

Ideal Recruit Ltd. is recruiting experienced Class 1 drivers for Normanton, with an assignment running for at least 8–10 weeks and ongoing support.

Expect overtime at competitive hourly rates, a 5/6 day rota, and shifts including day, afternoon, and night coverage across Monday to Sunday. A short induction and essential licences are required, with weekend availability emphasized.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence.
• Up-to-date Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card required.
• No more than 6 penalty points for minor offences only.
• Minimum 1 year of Class 1 driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Depot deliveries and collections / trunking.
• Carry out day, afternoon, and night shifts across a 7-day week.
• Work as part of a 5/6 day rota with a minimum 8 hours per shift.
• Provide reliable service with professional conduct.

Job description

Ideal Recruit is recruiting experienced Class 1 drivers for a reputable company in Normanton, with an assignment running for at least 8–10 weeks and support throughout.

PAYE Rates:

Overtime paid at £24.51 per hour for hours worked over 36 hours and 15 minutes per week.

WHAT’S ON OFFER

• A rota covering 5/6 days out of 7.
• A minimum of 8 hours per shift.
• Depot deliveries and collections / general haulage & trunking.
• Day, afternoon and night shifts across Monday to Sunday.
• A short induction lasting approximately two hours.
• Ongoing support from our team throughout your assignment.

AVAILABILITY

• Weekend availability is essential. You must also be available to work:
• Christmas Eve OR Boxing Day, and
• New Year’s Eve OR New Year’s Day

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

• A valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence
• An up-to-date Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card
• No more than 6 penalty points, for minor offences only
• Class 1 driving experience and a reliable, professional approach
• Minimum 1 year of Class 1 driving experience
