Job summary

Locale Civil Pty Ltd in Victoria is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead civil construction projects from estimation through to closeout. You will report to the Senior Project Manager and manage multiple projects safely, on time, within budget and to high quality standards.

You will work closely with clients, subcontractors, supervisors and internal teams to maintain commercial performance and project governance while driving delivery and risk management across the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline.
• Proven experience delivering civil construction, infrastructure, utilities or related projects.
• Strong commercial acumen with experience managing project budgets, cost control and contract administration.
• Strong understanding of project planning, risk management and programme delivery.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience managing subcontractors, suppliers and project delivery teams.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management systems.
• Knowledge of utilities, electrical infrastructure or VEDN projects will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of civil construction projects from estimation to closeout.
• Oversee project budgets, forecasts, subcontractor performance and commercial outcomes.
• Drive project delivery programmes and proactively manage risks, variations and project performance.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, authorities and internal stakeholders.
• Champion safety, quality and compliance across all project activities while supporting site teams.
• Lead project reporting, stakeholder communication and operational planning activities.
• Support construction teams in resolving project challenges and maintaining programme certainty.
