Job summary

A leading mining and civil contractor is seeking an experienced Civil Project Engineer for a prominent mine rehabilitation project in Moranbah. The role involves designing and overseeing civil works while collaborating with specialists to ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards. Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and at least two years of relevant experience. This full-time position offers a competitive salary package and a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years’ experience in civil construction, mining, or rehabilitation projects.
• Current Coal Board Medical required.
• Current Standard 11 certification.

With a proven track record across Australia’s mining regions, we are now seeking an experienced Civil Project Engineer for a high-profile mine rehabilitation project in Moranbah.

About the Role

As our Civil Project Engineer, you’ll play a key role in planning, delivering and monitoring civil works associated with mine rehabilitation. This includes:

• Designing and overseeing earthworks, drainage and erosion control structures
• Working closely with environmental specialists, surveyors and contractors
• Ensuring compliance with safety, quality and environmental standards
• Providing technical input into project delivery, scheduling and reporting

About You

You are a driven and detail-focused professional who enjoys problem solving and working outdoors. You’ll also bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
• Minimum 2+ years’ experience in civil construction, mining, or rehabilitation projects (Preferably QLD Coal Mining)
• Strong knowledge of earthworks, hydrology, and civil design principles
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams
• Commitment to safety and environmental stewardship
• Current Coal Board Medical
• Current Standard 11
