Job summary

701 Recruitment is seeking experienced Excavator Operators to join our team for civil construction projects across South East Queensland. Roles involve operation of 5T, 14T and 20T machines with emphasis on safety and detailed excavation.

Casual rate $43–$47/hr with penalties; transition to $50+/hr after successful start, plus fuel card. Long-term work, own ute for full-time roles, and opportunities across Gold Coast to Sunshine Coast.

Qualifications

• Experience operating excavators on civil construction sites.
• RII Excavator – mandatory.
• GPS experience is advantageous but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operate 5T, 14T, 20T excavators safely on civil sites.
• Work near other plant and overhead/underground services.
• Dig and strip footings; trim to 30mm tolerance.
• Bulk earthworks, trenches and detailed excavation.
• Load trucks and move materials.
• Daily pre-start checks; assist with general labouring duties when required.
