CIVIL ENGINEERING DRAFTSPERSON

SALARY: $79,400 to $95,000 PER ANNUM

UNISTOR GLOBAL PTY LTD is a leading construction and renovation company specializing in residential and commercial projects. We are committed to delivering high-quality craftsmanship and exceptional service to our clients. We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Civil Engineering Draftsperson to join our dynamic team.

The Civil Engineering Draftsperson will be responsible for preparing detailed sketches, charts, plans, and designs for various projects. This role involves both office-based drafting work and fieldwork, ensuring the quality and compliance of our installations and custom solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drafting and Design:
    • Prepare detailed sketches, charts, tabulations, plans, and designs for ongoing projects.
    • Liaising with structural engineers, architects & clients on a regular basis to ensure project fluidity
    • Organizing design meetings with team members to discuss fabrication, install & other queries
  • Fieldwork and Testing:
    • Perform and direct fieldwork, including site inspections and surveys, to gather data and ensure project specifications are met.
    • Conduct laboratory testing of construction materials to ensure quality and compliance with industry standards.
  • Data Collection and Analysis:
    • Collect and analyse data related to construction materials and soil conditions.
    • Carry out necessary computations to support project design and execution.
  • Cost Estimation and Compliance:
    • Estimate material costs for projects, ensuring that all works are completed within budget and meet regulatory requirements.
    • Inspect, overseeing junior draughtsman works to ensure adherence to specifications, regulations, and contract provisions.
  • Maintenance and Supervision:
    • Organize and supervise maintenance and repair work for existing installations.
    • Ensure all field and laboratory activities are conducted safely and efficiently.

Qualifications:

  • At least a Diploma or a minimum of three years of experience.
  • At least two years of experience proven experience in civil engineering drafting and design, preferably within the construction industry.
  • Proficiency in CAD software, Tekla Structures and other relevant drafting tools.
  • Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, materials, and construction methods.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical instructions and apply appropriate procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
