Job summary

AECOM, a global infrastructure firm, invites applications for a Technical Apprentice in Sydney. You will work within the Bridges, Structures and Ports Team, developing drafting and Digital Engineering skills with AutoCAD and 3D modelling tools.

The program includes a Diploma of Civil Construction Design, supported by part-time study leave and paid study time. You will assist in producing 2D drawings and 3D models, coordinate Digital Engineering models, and learn drafting standards while

Qualifications

• Interest in engineering, drafting and Digital Engineering through on-the-job experience.
• Strong interest in 3D modelling, technical drawing production and digital technology.
• Eager to learn through practical workplace experience and formal study.
• Enthusiastic, motivated and proactive in completing assigned tasks.
• Positive attitude and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the production of 2D drawings and 3D models for bridges, structures, ports, transport infrastructure and associated civil works.
• Support the development and coordination of Digital Engineering models using industry-standard software including AutoCAD, Revit and other Autodesk design tools.
• Develop technical drafting, modelling and checking skills in accordance with project standards and quality requirements.
• Liaise with engineers, designers and project teams to support the timely delivery of project outcomes.
• Gain exposure to multidisciplinary infrastructure design, including structures, bridges, ports and civil engineering disciplines.
• Contribute to the preparation of project documentation, visualisations and Digital Engineering deliverables.
