Mott MacDonald is seeking an experienced Civil Drafter to join our Civil Engineering team in Adelaide. You will produce detailed civil drawings, coordinate with engineers and project managers, and help advance road, drainage and utility infrastructure projects.

With 2–3 years of drafting experience, you will use AutoCAD and Civil 3D (or 12d) to deliver compliant documentation in line with Australian Standards and client requirements, while supporting drafting standards and QA processes.

Qualifikationen

• Drafting, Design Drafting or related discipline.
• Minimum 2-3 years' experience in civil drafting within a consulting engineering, infrastructure or land development environment.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; Civil 3D or 12d a benefit.
• Experience preparing documentation for roads, drainage, subdivisions, sewer or water infrastructure projects.
• Understanding of Australian Standards, council requirements and civil construction principles.
• Experience with quality management systems and document control processes.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality documentation.
• Strong communication and teamwork across multidisciplinary groups.

As our project portfolio continues to expand, we are seeking an experienced Civil Drafter to join our Civil Engineering team. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside talented engineers, designers and project managers on a diverse range of transport, infrastructure, land development and municipal projects.

You’ll play a key role in the production and coordination of detailed civil documentation, and contributing to the continuous improvement of drafting standards and digital delivery practices.

You will:

• Prepare and coordinate detailed civil engineering drawings and documentation using AutoCAD, Revit
• Assist in the delivery of projects within agreed budgets, schedules and quality expectations.
• Produce high-quality construction documentation in accordance with Australian Standards, council requirements and client specifications.
• Develop plans for roads, drainage, sewer, water and associated civil infrastructure.
• Interpret engineering designs and digital models to create accurate drafting outputs.
• Collaborate closely with engineers, designers, and project managers to deliver coordinated project outcomes.
• Review drawings and documentation to ensure compliance with project requirements, drafting standards and quality procedures.
• Manage drawing revisions and updates throughout project lifecycles.
• Assist in maintaining drafting standards, templates, QA processes and document control systems.
• Provide guidance and support to junior drafters and contribute to team capability development.
• Support digital engineering initiatives and continuous improvement in drafting workflows and technology.

About you

• Drafting, Design Drafting or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2-3 years' experience in civil drafting within a consulting engineering, infrastructure or land development environment is preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, with Civil 3D or 12d experience considered a benefit.
• Experience preparing documentation for roads, drainage, subdivisions, sewer or water infrastructure projects.
