Job summary

2XM Recruit in Adelaide, South Australia, is seeking a Civil Design Engineer/Senior Civil Engineer for a permanent role. The position offers hands-on design across land development, energy, commercial, industrial, and building projects with exposure to 12D and Civil 3D.

Open to mid-senior level, salary up to $120k plus super, with salary reflective of experience; discussions during screening. You will join a multi-disciplinary consultancy with offices across Australia.

Qualifications

• A Civil Engineering degree.
• Experience in Australian civil design projects.
• Proficiency in 12D and Civil 3D.
• Experience with MUSIC and DRAINS.
• Strong understanding of Australian Standards.
• Driver's licence and access to a vehicle for site inspections.

Responsibilities

• Preparing civil designs, drawings, calculations and technical documentation.
• Design and delivery of civil engineering projects from concept through to detailed design and construction.
• Designing roads, stormwater, drainage, car parks and site civil works.
• Undertaking civil design using 12D and/or Civil 3D.
• Completing MUSIC and DRAINS modelling.
• Coordinating with clients, councils, drafters and other project stakeholders.
• For senior engineers, leading design delivery, managing projects, mentoring juniors and contributing to business development.
• Attending site inspections and providing site support.
• Contributing to civil design processes and workflows.

Role: Civil Design Engineer/ Senior Civil Engineer
Job Type: Permanent positon
Location: Adelaide, South Australia.
Salary: Up to $120k +Super - (Depending on experience) – Position level and salary package will reflect your skills, experience and seniority, and will be discussed upfront during the screening call.

We’re looking for a Civil Design Engineer with a strong interest in design and project delivery who enjoys working across varied project types. We are open to considering various levels of experience, however ideally looking for Mid-Senior Level.This is a hands-on design position offering exposure to energy, land development, commercial and industrial developments, buildings and property infrastructure. You’ll work on practical civil engineering solutions across a range of project types, giving you the opportunity to build broad technical experience rather than being restricted to one sector.

Responsibilities:

• Preparing civil designs, drawings, calculations and technical documentation
• You’ll be involved in the design and delivery of civil engineering projects from concept through to detailed design and construction.
• Designing roads, stormwater, drainage, car parks and site civil works
• Undertaking civil design using 12D and/or Civil 3D
• Completing MUSIC and DRAINS modelling
• Ensuring designs meet Australian Standards and relevant authority requirements
• Coordinating with clients, councils, drafters and other project stakeholders
• Working closely with structural, environmental and building services disciplines
• Managing project deliverables, timelines and design outcomes
• Supporting projects through concept, detailed design and delivery stages
• Undertaking design reviews and QA
• Assisting with fee proposals and technical submissions where required
• Attending site inspections and providing site support when required
• Contributing to the development of civil design processes and workflows
• For a more senior engineer, there will also be opportunities to lead design delivery, manage projects, mentor junior engineers, contribute to business development and help grow the Civil team.
  About the Company

You’ll ideally have:

• A Civil Engineering degree
• Relevant Australian civil engineering design experience
• Experience across one or more of land development, buildings, commercial/industrial, energy or infrastructure projects
• Proficiency in 12D and/or Civil 3D
• Experience with MUSIC and DRAINS
• Strong understanding of Australian Standards and local authority requirements
• Good technical, communication and problem-solving skills
• The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• A collaborative approach and ability to work within multidisciplinary teams
• A current Australian driver's licence and access to a vehicle for site inspections
