Job summary

Atlas Golf Services P/L in Queensland, Woombye, is seeking an experienced Building Associate for a permanent, full-time role. You will supervise civil construction activities, coordinate site personnel, and operate a range of plant to support earthworks and site preparation.

Role requires 1+ year of supervisory civil construction experience, strong leadership, and a commitment to safety. Sponsorship may be available for the right candidate; salary range AU$90,000–AU$110,000 per year.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of demonstrated experience supervising civil construction activities.
• Experience operating a range of civil construction plant and machinery.
• Ability to interpret construction plans, drawings and levels.
• Strong understanding of earthworks, drainage, grading and site preparation.
• Strong communication, leadership and organisational skills.
• Commitment to safe work practices and quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily civil construction activities and site personnel.
• Allocate tasks and provide direction to employees and subcontractors.
• Coordinate labour, materials, plant and equipment required.
• Operate excavators, dozers, skid steers, dump trucks and other plant.
• Undertake earthworks, grading, trimming, excavation, drainage and site preparation works.
• Interpret construction plans, drawings, specifications and site levels.
• Monitor construction progress, quality and project timeframes.
• Conduct site inspections and identify construction issues or defects.
• Maintain daily site records and provide progress updates to management.
• Ensure work is completed in accordance with WHS, environmental and quality requirements.
• Assist with planning and sequencing of construction activities.
• Provide practical guidance and support to site personnel and plant operators.
• Participate in pre-starts, toolbox meetings and site meetings.
