Job summary

Robert Bird Group in Sydney seeks a Cadet Drafter to join our Civil team and contribute to the development and production of civil works and infrastructure across New South Wales. You will work under supervision to translate concepts into technical drawings.

You will enrol in an Advanced Diploma or Associate Degree, learn Civil Infrastructure CAD technologies and the Autodesk suite, develop strong communication and problem-solving skills, and grow under seasoned industry leaders.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an Advanced Diploma or Associate Degree.
• Willingness to learn Civil Infrastructure CAD technologies.
• Good verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of schematic and production drawings under supervision.
• Perform general office duties under supervision.
• Assist more senior drafters with the analysis of tasks and problems.
• Produce construction-level documentation.
• Issuing procedures.

• Assisting in the preparation of schematic and production drawings under supervision
• Performing general office duties under supervision
• Assisting more senior drafters with the analysis of tasks and problems

About You

• Enrolment in an Advanced Diploma or Associate Degree
• Willingness to learn Civil Infrastructure and CAD technologies
• Willingness to learn CAD technologies, with emphasis on the Autodesk suite of products
• Ability to interpret and carry out instructions
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work within a diverse and multidisciplinary environment
