Job summary

Saia LTL Freight is seeking a professional truck driver to operate tractor trailers, delivering freight between company terminals and customer facilities within a defined geographic area. You will ensure timely, safe deliveries and maintain required records.

Requirements include a valid CDL with hazmat/tanker/twin trailer endorsements, at least 1 year of trucking experience, and the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends. Benefits are provided by Saia.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• At least 1 year of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience.
• Read, write, communicate and comprehend English clearly.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Drives tractor trailers to deliver and pick up customer freight.
• Sorts, handles, loads, and unloads freight at company/customer locations.
• Plans routes and schedules to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.
• Follows established pre-trip, post-trip, freight handling, and billing procedures.
• Conducts safety and quality control inspections.
• Retains and maintains records, forms, and load-related paperwork.
• Serves as the first point-of-contact for delivery-related issues.
