Job summary

Anglo American / De Beers Group is seeking an experienced Planner/Scheduler for the Dawson Mine CHPP, Moura (QLD). You will plan and schedule maintenance for plant and equipment and drive systems to improve maintenance efficiency and reliability.

You will coordinate with multiple stakeholders, maintain CMMS data, and ensure compliance with safety, health, environment and community management standards. This role supports a zero-harm culture at the CHPP maintenance team.

Qualifications

• Experience in planning and scheduling maintenance in CHPP environments.
• Knowledge of fixed plant operations and reliability practices.
• Experience troubleshooting crushers, conveyors and hydraulics.
• Supervisor competencies (S1/S2/S3/G2) desirable.
• SAP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, plan and schedule maintenance of plant and equipment to maximise availability.
• Develop and maintain plant schedules and review work completion.
• Update CMMS data for history tracing and forecasting.
• Ensure compliance with Anglo Coal SHEC requirements and risk controls.

Job description

Our Dawson operation is a large open-cut coal mine and is showing no signs of slowing down! Dawson’s CHPP consists of 3 active dump stations, km’s of conveyor systems, A Coal Preparation Plant, Train Load Out and associated stockpile management equipment proven capable of processing 12 million + feed per annum.

It’s not just the large Fixed plant equipment that you would be working on, it’s also the placement of Dawson, it is located at the southern end of the Bowen Basin in Central Queensland, being just over a 2hrs drive west from either Rockhampton or Gladstone, or 4.5hrs drive north of the Darling Downs or South Burnett.

Job Description

A rare opportunity exists for an experienced Planner / Scheduler to join the Maintenance team within the Coal Processing Prep Plant (CHPP) at Dawson Mine in Moura, QLD. Reporting to the Planning Coordinator, you will perform the planning and scheduling of maintenance work for plant and equipment and manage the development of systems to improve efficiency of maintenance processes.

This role directly supports Dawson Maintenance to achieve a zero-harm culture through safely operating and maintaining CHPP process to optimise performance. The maintenance planner plans maintenance work for the fixed plant and manages the development of systems to improve the efficiency of the maintenance processes. Your key responsibilities are, not limited to:

• Coordinate, plan and schedule the maintenance of plant and equipment to ensure efficient utilisation of labour, parts, and equipment resources to ensure the achievement of planned equipment availability.
• Develop and maintain plant and equipment schedules in a timely, usable manner and review and report on actual work completed with recommendations for appropriate corrective action.
• Update and review CMMS regularly to ensure accurate and relevant data is available for component history tracing, failure forecasting, schedule/ preventative maintenance forecasting, budget forecasting and increased equipment availability and tracking costs.
• Ensure that the work practices and systems within the CHPP Maintenance team are consistent with the Anglo Coal Safety, Health, Environment and Community Management System and any statutory requirements by monitoring and reviewing activities to minimize any negative impact on the environment and minimize the exposure of SHEC related risks to employees.
• Ensure Dawson Mine meets its statutory and corporate SHEC obligations by and supporting the development of the Anglo Coal Safety, Health, Environment and Community Management System.

Qualifications

• Mechanical Trade Qualification(Diesel Fitting, Boilermaking, etc.)
• Demonstrated experience working at a Coal Handing Prep Plant (CHPP).
• Experience with Fixed Plant Operations.
• Experience troubleshooting crushing, conveyor and hydraulic systems.
• Supervisor & Risk Facilitator competencies (S1, 2, 3 & G2) is desirable.
• Proficiency in utilizing SAP for work functions is preferred.

You will ideally possess knowledge of Planning and Scheduling processes and logistics and coordination.Previous experience in a similar role will also be highly regarded.
