We are seeking an experienced Commodities Trader to develop and execute China-focused strategies, work with analysts and developers, manage risk, and drive growth on the China desk. Knowledge of Chinese markets and exchange rules is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven track record trading commodities futures with risk-adjusted returns.
• Strong understanding of Chinese and global commodity markets.
• Knowledge of exchange rules, margin frameworks, and regulation.
• Ability to translate fundamental/macroeconomic analysis into trading positions.
• Experience working with analysts, researchers, and developers in data-driven trading.
• Discipline in risk management and event-driven volatility.
• Familiarity with Python, SQL, Bloomberg, or similar analytics tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop, execute, and scale profitable trading strategies across Chinese commodities.
• Trade futures and derivatives on SHFE, DCE, ZCE, INE, GFEX and offshore venues.
• Integrate fundamental, macro and geopolitical developments into trading decisions.
• Collaborate with the Commodities Analyst team on supply/demand, inventory, shipping and policy insights.
• Identify and position around catalysts, volatility events, and dislocations.
• Generate directional and volatility-driven trade ideas from market intelligence.
• Work with quantitative researchers and technologists to refine execution and data-driven decisions.
• Actively manage risk across macro events, liquidity shifts, regulatory changes, cross-border dynamics.
• Contribute to improvements of research frameworks, dashboards, and trading tools.
