Job summary

Pulse Healthcare is seeking a Children\'s Speech and Language Therapist to join the team at Croydon Healthcare Services on a 1-month contract (with potential extension). The role focuses on assessments, EHCNAs, and delivering targeted interventions for children with communication needs.

Ideal candidates will hold HCPC registration, a degree in SLT, and experience with early years and school-aged children, with strong teamwork and communication skills to liaise with families and schools.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Speech and Language Therapy.
• HCPC registration as a Speech and Language Therapist.
• Experience in children's Speech and Language Therapy services.
• Experience carrying out EHCNAs.
• Knowledge of early years communication development.
• Experience with school-aged children in educational settings.
• Excellent communication, organisational and teamwork skills.
• Ability to manage a varied caseload independently.

Responsibilities

• Carry out assessments for children with speech, language, and communication needs.
• Provide specialist intervention for early years children requiring Speech and Language Therapy support.
• Complete and contribute to Education, Health and Care Needs Assessments (EHCNAs).
• Deliver evidence-based therapy programmes tailored to individual needs.
• Support school-aged children with communication difficulties within educational settings.
• Liaise effectively with families, schools, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Maintain accurate clinical records in accordance with professional and organisational standards.
